HOW DID IT ALL START?

A long, long, long time ago, when the skies were filled with screams of terror and the sea awash with blood…ooops sorry wrong story… err OK, many more years ago than I'd care to remember, a young girl and boy got it on, then WHAM!!! - a couple months later out I popped.

The usual stuff beckoned, school and a succession of boring jobs.

At school the art teachers did what they were paid to do and sapped all the inspiration out of us kids, by making us draw bowls of fruit draped with cloth day in, day out. The boring jobs did something different though, being devoid of any mental stimulation I started to doodle, the doodles grew into birthday cards for colleagues, caricatures of the bosses and stuff like that.

I bagged a half decent job and came into contact with a brilliant designer and all round nice guy Day Barnes, who taught me how to use the Adobe software that I use to this day as a freelance illustrator.

(mum + dad) x getting it on = meee

meee + school/(art x fruit draped in cloth) + boring jobs = doodling

doodling + semi decent job/(Day Barnes + Adobe software) = blacksoup

WHAT CAN I DO FOR YOU?

I will draw for you, that's illustrations for anything you can think of - books, t-shirts, websites, leaflets, walls, character design, storyboarding. Pretty much anything that requires a nice little picture. Presently my artwork is all done digitally but I'm always up for a challenge and open to unusual projects as I'd like to think I can draw in a wide variety of styles, so if it pushes me somewhere new then I'm all for it. Let's not pussyfoot around, if you want summat like the Mona Lisa or for me to carry a suitcase through Thai customs for you, then that just ain't gonna happen.

Unfortunately though there needs to be money involved in all of this because I have a daughter who likes princess dresses... a lot.

HOW CAN YOU GET HOLD OF ME?

Preferably don't hold me around the neck because it's very dangerous. Sooo lemme see, a much safer way would be to email. If you don't fancy that and seeing as I'm poo at telepathy, your best bet would be to phone me. It's a lonely job being a freelancer so I'd be more than happy to have a gab.
